Discipleship Training Program is a small group ministry for 7th and 8th grade students. These groups focus on discipleship through exploring God’s word in peer groups led by an adult shepherd. Students are encouraged to dig deeper in their faith and learn to apply the Bible to their own lives.
A typical evening at DTP begins with fun and games. Students will then split up into small groups. DTP meets from 6:00-7:30 on Sunday nights at the West Campus.
Theme – How much are you looking to get out of this life? Hopefully, you want to get as much out of it as possible. Jesus said,
If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it. (Matthew 10:39). We generally take the opposite approach. We work hard to get ahead of everyone else. We work hard to gain as many friends as possible, to gain popularity. We spend more money to have the newest and hottest items. We spend more time at becoming the best athlete, artist, musician…etc. In an effort to gain, we end up losing. Come join us this year as we discover how to “Give It Up” so that we can “Gain It All.”
