The High School community at FBCG is called TREK.

TREK exists in order to:TREK logo

  • connect students to each other in a community of faith
  • come alongside students as they navigate their individual faith journeys
  • build a foundational understanding of God’s word and essential doctrine

TREK is directed by Pastor Sterling Moore.

Sunday Morning programming is offered for High School students at 10:45am in the Student Center at the East Campus. TREK Sunday a.m. includes community-based discussion groups, times of teaching and corporate worship.
The purpose of Discipleship Groups (D-Groups) is to create an environment for students to grow spiritually in a community of their peers. D-groups meet on different days of the week in homes. Gender specific groups of around 8 students meet with an adult leader for discussion, teaching and accountability. Visit the D-Group page for more information.
Throughout the year, TREK hosts a number of fun events for students to gather, bring friends and enjoy fellowship together. In addition, there are two retreats each year, in the fall and winter. These are intended for spiritual growth, building community and plenty of adventurous activities. For upcoming events and the TREK calendar, visit the Events and Retreats page.
One important part of TREK programming is the opportunity for high school students to participate in short-term missions trips. These trips play a large role in the spiritual development of students as they serve others and experience different cultures. Student teams travel to Milwaukee, Mexico and Ecuador. Visit the student missions page for more information.
